Blurring Boundaries of Us: A Slow-Burn Psychological Romance

Cover of Blurring Boundaries of Us, a slow-burn psychological romance by VG Thracy

Some boundaries protect us. Others keep us from the people we might need most.

Blurring Boundaries of Us is a slow-burn contemporary romance with a psychological edge, set in a quiet English village and the wild landscapes of the Peak District. It is Book One of the Blurring Boundaries trilogy by VG Thracy, available now as a Kindle ebook and in Kindle Unlimited.

The story

Vicky has built her life around independence, control and the certainty that she knows exactly how close she is willing to let anyone come. A former psychology student turned app developer, she runs a small B&B in the village, hosts the occasional retreat and keeps her private life strictly private.

Then Alex enters it. A world-famous actor, he has retreated to an old stone house nearby to escape the spotlight and a past he does not discuss. What begins as an unexpected connection slowly unsettles the rules Vicky has relied on for years. He has his own defences, and a way of seeing past hers that makes distance harder and harder to keep.

Meanwhile, at a country estate nearby, something is quietly wrong. Within an exclusive circle of women, relationships are falling apart in ways that leave almost no trace. Drawn into a discreet investigation, Vicky and Alex try to understand someone else’s hidden motives while their own boundaries become harder to define.

What you will find inside

  • A quiet mystery at a country estate, with high-society intrigue
  • Psychological depth: intimacy, trauma, attachment and identity, written with insight rather than clichés
  • Myth and symbolism: echoes of Persephone and Hades, caves and springs as places of healing
